The Spud has been a part of Teton Valley since 1953. Since that time the we have been projecting movies on film with a pre-world war 2 projector and it still works great.

However, times have changed and film is no longer an option. To stay in business we must buy a digital projector at a cost of $65,000. This is a huge expense for a business that can only operate 5 months out of the year. Unlike indoor theaters we can only charge for one showing each night. To make an investment of this size would require raising prices beyond what we feel would be feasible.

Our solution: T-shirts. We have over 3400 friends on our Save the Spud Facebook page. If each friend of the Spud bought a shirt we would have a projector and life would go on as usual.

Please take this opportunity to make a difference. Buy just one shirt, give a gift birthdays, etc. Every time you wear your shirt to the Spud you will get $1 off admission for the year of 2013. It is truly a gift that keeps on giving.
